There are several theories regarding header design, the most important being the compromise between mid range and top end horsepower. That's why Comptech does extensive development to maximize power gains throughout the RPM range. On the street, a majority of driving time is spent in the mid range and a header tuned to boost mid range power results in a car that is quicker responding and more fun to drive.
Comptech headers are manufactured using CNC machined flanges and mandrel bent T-304 stainless steel tubing. Our headers have precision fit merge collectors and all joints are TIG welded for durability and appearance.
All of our headers are developed using both our in house Dynamic Test Systems engine dyno and Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno.
All street headers manufactured by Comptech are CARB exempt and legal for use on public roads.
